Scare Tactics: Come to Texas! The last baston of freedom on planet Earth, BUT we ain't got NO WATER!
Texas's Reported Water Shortage IS being used as a SCARE TACTIC, I believe, and here's WHY....
‘TIME FOR SOME TRAFFIC PROBLEMS ‘IN BIG D’!
I get inspiration for writing from my day to day life experiences. Some are positive, still some are negative, but I get the inspiration to write from my daily life.
Yesterday afternoon was no less an inspirational moment for me while my wife and I were out running early afternoon errands and got into the stop-go-traffic of Dallas. I’m still studying the process here in regards to traffic and traffic flow, but as best I can tell there’s three rinsed and repeated stages of flow here.
There’s the rush hour traffic flow the first thing in the morning which gets cranking around 5-5:30 in the morning and runs until about 10:15-10:30 or so, give or take twenty minutes or so. Then there’s the early afternoon to early evening rush hour or what I like to call the get home and get the kids from school rush. That typically runs from 2:00-2:30 in the afternoon until 5. Folks get themselves and their kids home, take in an early evening supper, maybe catch the tv news, get a burst of energy and that then leads to the early evening-evening rush. A lot but not all of the get home and get the kids from school rush crowd will go back out and rip and run the streets from like 7 or so in the evening until about 10:30 and then they’ll head home and head to bed for the night, and start the process all over again the next day.
And as I’m studying these traffic patterns I’ve noticed how the City of Dallas is set up, essentially, in spiral circles. From the smallest inner circle or ring to the largest outer circle or ring. And then there’s the cris-cross section of streets that run, roughly, straight through the middle of that, but with plenty of curves and angles of their own throughout.
The early morning crowd is all out boy! They hit it and get it. God help you IF you are caught up or directly in their way because you’re keeping them from the overall good of their day and business. School. Work. Doctor or Dentist Appointments. Other odds and ends for their early morning to morning day. They remind me a lot of the old cartoons featuring Tom & Jerry and how Jerry the mouse manages to scare the ungodly hell out of Tom the cat who, invariably, ends upside down and claw-dug into Grandma Hettie’s prized cottage ceiling. Remember?
Grandma gets annoyed or angry rather quickly because her good cottage ceiling has been ruined, and so Tom & Jerry end up in the soup! You get the picture, right?
So that’s the long and short explanation on that traveling community for Dallas.
And then there’s the Slow and Go folks getting off from a long, often hard day, at work or school. These folks YOU MUST watch out for because each core or cluster varies. And no two are ever alike. I’m finding that you’ve gotta relax, go with the flow as much as you can, provided you don’t have any backseat drivers in the car with you to add too the already hectic process, more on that at a much later date!
But when and if you run into the go portion of the slow and go traffic folks BEWARE. I call these folks the in a hurry to go nowhere crowd or the if I don’t get where I’m going the place is gonna be moved all because I didn’t get there, and then what am I gonna do crowd!? They trail in along behind you, many ride your rear bumper, motioning and gesturing at you if you bother to look in the rearview mirror or side mirrors of your car or truck. Angry, frustrated, extremely tired, hungry and cranky from a long day of work or school. Things didn’t go well for these folks. God bless them all! But you need to find a safe way to clear a path or a hole for them and let them go as safely by you as possible. That’s the only way around and/or to describe that bunch as accurately as I can to you guys. They gotta get to wherever they’re going quickly or they’ll bust! They get home, take off the shoes, plop down in the old Lazy-Boy Recliner or their favorite spot on the couch with a hot plate of food and a hot or cold beverage of their choice, maybe turn on the tv or some music and just decompress for a while.
That goes, for most, until about 7 in the evening or so and then, all of the sudden they wanna get back out, go to the mall, go to the movie theatre, go bowling or something else until 10:30 at night or so, and then its time to head home for the evening and do it all over again tomorrow!
You couple all of that with the highway and road project construction in a town like Dallas and it is an absolute mess (not to mention all of the urban renewal, general construction projects, revitalization projects, etc. etc.).But yet the powers that be at the federal, state and local level all say, "Come to Texas! The last baston of freedom on planet Earth!" And folks, hard-working, well-intentioned, taxpaying citizens come by the droves down here for a new and better way of life, and while here they're all told every few weeks there's a water crisis or an energy crisis here. We may or may not have enough to sustain you. Well shucks! Why’d you bother telling and inviting folks to Texas if you didn’t really want them to come and stay in the first place?
Its ridiculous! All these folks — Texas Gov Greg Abbott, Texas Lt. Gov Dan Patrick, Texas A. G. Ken Paxton, Senators Cornyn and Cruz, and even President Trump says come to Texas, and while you're here you and your husband get together and produce more kids! All while telling us, well, come to Texas, but we don’t have enough water for you or our electrical grid may or may not be able to sustain you and your burgeoning family!
SCARE TACTICS….
That’s WHY I am absolutely convinced that this is a bunch of scare tactics! Because these very same powers that be, as mentioned in this newsletter for today, that are going on and on about ‘Come to Texas!’ are themselves saying, “but we don’t have enough water and enough electricity to sustain you…”
WHAT?! — The reason why I ask or say that out loud is because as I look around the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroland I see so damned many buildings, shopping centers, shopping malls, gas stations, grocery stores, airports, bus and train stations ALL REQUIRING massive amounts of electricity and water to operate every single day. Not to mention all of the apartment complexes. My God I’ve never seen more apartments and the like in the DFW area! And I've been around. So don't take my point here lightly. And when these construction companies aren't busy building apartments, roads and highways they're busy building office buildings, industrial parks, restaurants, strip malls and other multi-use complexes in and around the Dallas-Fort Worth or the Dallas Metroland Area. And then the houses and places of worship! But that's a subject for another time and newsletter.
All of this takes inordinate amounts of water and electricity to own and operate! So to say there’s NO water or there’s NO electricity ONLY to sit and say ‘C’mon Down!’ is disingenuous at best, false advertising at worst, and population control at the absolute worst!
And so that’s WHY I figure that’s really what this crap is all about. Population control. Because I can’t get past why if folks in charge wish to build, build, build why don’t they dig, dig, dig and cleanup, cleanup, cleanup!? No one is digging wells or cisterns for water, no one is digging aquafers, aqueducts or canals, they’re not expanding or renovating sewage or water treatment plants and facilities here either. WHY? WHY NOT? They aren’t building dams, they aren’t building spillways, floodwalls, none of that whatsoever! Just more and more houses, office buildings and apartment complexes along with highways and roads here in DFW. Nothing more and nothing less!
DEO VINDICE ET SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!!!
