How Joe Biden's 81 Million Voters are telling off Donald Trump's 77 Million Voters dammit!
Of late I’ve been taking to social media, in fact X/Twitter with the following retort:
Thou Shalt Not #DOGE (Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency) .
Thou Shalt Not Govern.
Thou Shalt Not Swear Any Allegiance to anything except the State! And only The State Shalt Thou Worship. — from the #tenliberaldemandments
I post this up whenever I read American Left of Center Postings on there or Republican In Name Only — RINO for short postings. E. g. Trump Haters and Trump Derangement Syndrome Sufferers.
These are the folks, for varying and wide-ranging concerns and issues, that cannot stand President Donald J. Trump! They wish him ill. And they prey to the hate-filled god that they serve a pox upon the house of all those who do love and support the President regardless of political party, cause or stripe. And, sadly, the feelings are mutual for the many of these godless souls on ‘the Internets’ even though I do know better.
In any case though, and I have to stop for just a moment and render credit where credit is due because the inspiration for today’s posting from yours truly comes via MSNBC's Morning Joe and a particularly fascinating segment from there that wrapped up this past weekend’s countless breaking news events.
One in particular has drawn my attention to a very real and serious matter at hand. That’s the idea. The notion that just because Donald Trump and MAGA won last year’s election doesn’t mean that they get to govern.
I’m old enough to remember the Biden years, and how we were told to, in so many words, sit down and shut up! We won. You lost. Your opinion. Your grievances matters not. Joe Biden got eighty-one million votes, and your guy just has a MAGA Million Load of Grievances. Sit down and shut up!
And for four years America and the free world put up with that crap, all while Joe Biden was on naptime or out to lunch the whole way through.
Fast forward to today, and we’re told oh, no, no you can’t — you can’t take a meat axe or a chainsaw to government. You can’t audit our bullshit — we mean stuff! You cannot see how the other half lives here. And anyway we are doing the job of governing here. Never mind the dumpster fires that you see here at home and abroad. The government is here and we are on it.
Or, as former President Ronald Reagan so succinctly put it:
But we are not to complain. No, no, no! No complaints. No redressing of grievances. It is to be business as usual Donald Trump, Elon Musk and MAGA! Just because you won does not mean that you get to govern.
